Terms of Service

AussieCellMap ("the App") is operated by YK Co ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

AussieCellMap displays mobile network tower information sourced from publicly available ACMA radiocommunications licence records and ACCC mobile infrastructure data. The App helps you visualise nearby tower sites, carriers, and radio technologies for informational purposes only.

2. Data Sources and Attribution

Based on Australian Communications and Media Authority information.

ACCC Mobile Infrastructure Report site data, as at 31 January 2026, is included in the App. © Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia. A tower is labelled from ACCC data only when its carrier and location have a reliable match; other labels remain ACMA-based estimates.

3. No Warranty on Coverage Data

The App is provided for general informational purposes only.

  • Tower locations and coverage estimates are based on ACMA licence records and simplified calculations. Some technology labels use the ACCC's annual, carrier-reported site data. None of this represents actual network coverage or signal quality.
  • Actual coverage depends on terrain, buildings, weather, network load, and device capabilities.
  • For accurate coverage information, refer to your carrier's official coverage map (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, or TPG).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You must not:

  • Use bundled source data contrary to its applicable licence terms.
  • Use the App to make decisions that could affect personal safety without verifying information through official carrier channels.
  • Misrepresent coverage information obtained from the App as official or guaranteed.

5. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, and user interface are owned by YK Co. Bundled ACMA and ACCC source data remains subject to its respective licence terms.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple MapKit for address search and geocoding. Your use of that functionality is also subject to Apple's Maps Terms of Use.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The tower data is complete, current, or error-free.
  • Coverage estimates reflect real-world conditions.
  • The App will be uninterrupted or free of defects.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YK Co shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

9. Data Updates

The bundled ACMA data is updated periodically. The ACCC site data is a snapshot as at 31 January 2026. We do not guarantee a specific update schedule, and the App may not reflect recent changes to sites or services.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in Australian courts.
